Dr. Lina Triana is globally recognized plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic plastic surgery. Based in Cali, she treats patients from around the world. She graduated from Universidad del Valle and completed her residency in plastic, aesthetic, reconstructive, maxillofacial, and hand surgery at the same university.
President of the international Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). First women and the first Colombian to hold this important position globally. Her extensive career in the professional field has allowed her to be part of the significant societies around the world. She is currently a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). Dr. Triana was the president of the Colombian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in 2014-2015 and is a member of the Federación Iberoamericana de Cirugía Plastica (FILACP). An honorary member of the Serbian Society of Plastic Surgery (SRBPRAS) and a corresponding member of the Colombian Medical College.
Dr. Lina studied age management medicine at the Cenegenics Medical Institute in Nevada, USA. She furthered her knowledge of aesthetic plastic surgery at the Interplastica and Ivo Pitangüy Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Centers in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Additionally, she graduated from the University of Bolívar, Barranquilla- Colombia, as an Aesthetic Physician.
Dr. Triana is involved in research as part of the CER group at Colciencias and serves as an editor for international scientific journals such as Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. She is responsible for editing the genital section of the aesthetic Surgery Journal, holds a position as an international editor, and has contributed chapters to well-known plastic surgery books.
With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Triana is highly active in local and international media, including appearances on BBC. She has been a speaker and guest of honor at medical-scientific congresses in over 50 countries across 5 continents, educating her colleagues on the latest developments and techniques in aesthetic plastic surgery.
